The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center, part of the UW-Extension Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development, is seeking a Marketing & Copywriting Assistant to support the communications manager with social media and copywriting for marketing collateral, such as brochures, flyers, websites and email communications. Additional responsibilities may include writing news stories and editing blog posts for the Wisconsin SBDC website.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and editing skills the ability to write persuasive and compelling copy appropriate for the context and appropriate to the target market. Candidates must be strong in grammar and punctuation and be fluent in AP style for news writing. Additionally, candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision, have great attention to detail and demonstrate professionalism within a business culture.
The candidate should be available to work 10-12 hours a week. There is the potential for more hours during the summer. Must have 2014 summer availability. This is a year-round position.
Start Date: April 28 – flexible if giving notice
End date: This is a permanent part-time student position
Job Type: Part-time, will discuss internship possibility
Pay: $10.00-$12.00/hr
Weekly Hours: 10 – 12 hours
Hours: Flexible between 7:30am – 3:30 pm
Days: Flexible between Monday – Friday
