Cox Media Group Washington Internship Program

Employer:
 The Cox Media Group
Job Type:
 Internship
The Cox Media Group is in search of tomorrow’s brightest broadcast reporters and producers to work as interns in our bureau in Washington, D.C. This is a rare opportunity to train alongside experienced journalists enterprising and producing Washington-based news for our 11 television stations, six radio stations and four newspapers across the country.
This is not an internship for someone who only wants to make photocopies, take coffee orders and answer phones all day.
Cox D.C. interns spend the semester as part of our news team and are responsible for seeing stories through from start to finish. Interns research and enterprise story ideas, conduct interviews on Capitol Hill, log sound bites, edit video and write copy.
In exchange for a semester of challenging work, we help you produce a resume reel with a standup and three packages.
Our internship is unpaid and you must provide proof of college/graduate school credit to be considered. We require interns to work at least two days a week. Priority is given to those available additional days.
To apply or ask questions, email Patrick Terpstra at patrick.terpstra@coxinc.com and attach your resume and cover letter.
