American Eagle Campus Rep Program: Spring 2012

Summary:
A total of 144 American Eagle Reps on 48 campuses around the country (3 Reps per school) will be completing 7 to 8 events and activities during the Spring 2012 semester. Student Reps involved with this program will create marketing plans and then execute these activities (such as campus hunts and study breaks) over the course of the semester.  Reps will also co-manage a custom AESU Facebook page for their school.

Campus Rep Program:
We are looking for outgoing, smart individuals who have an interest in marketing and promotions and want the chance to work with a number one college clothing brand. Each campus will have 3 student reps – one lead rep and two assistant reps. If you feel that you have a large network of friends on your campus, are involved in a variety of activities and organizations, and love to have fun, plan and promote cool events, apply to become an AE Rep today!

Lead Rep responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
                    Receive promotional materials and gear (and keep in a safe place)
                    Be creative in coordinating and executing each required event
                    Be innovative about how to generate awareness on your campus and get fellow students excited and involved in the program
                    Be an Administrator of your campus AE Facebook Page
                    Complete event recaps and upload photos to Facebook in a timely manner
                    Take photos (and/or video) of all program activities/events and upload to designated YMC website or social network page.

The Cox Media Group is in search of tomorrow’s brightest broadcast reporters and producers to work as interns in our bureau in Washington, D.C. This is a rare opportunity to train alongside experienced journalists enterprising and producing Washington-based news for our 11 television stations, six radio stations and four newspapers across the country.
This is not an internship for someone who only wants to make photocopies, take coffee orders and answer phones all day.
Cox D.C. interns spend the semester as part of our news team and are responsible for seeing stories through from start to finish. Interns research and enterprise story ideas, conduct interviews on Capitol Hill, log sound bites, edit video and write copy.
In exchange for a semester of challenging work, we help you produce a resume reel with a standup and three packages.
Our internship is unpaid and you must provide proof of college/graduate school credit to be considered. We require interns to work at least two days a week. Priority is given to those available additional days.

  • Regularly reviewing competitors and identifying opportunities and issues with the company to improve its competitive position in social media
  • Assist in the development of a recruitment social media site for human resources as a pilot experience and ways to improve our identification of talent through the use of social media.
  • Ensuring alignment of social media content with the brand strategy platform and company standards.
  • Work with the other communication leaders and professionals, specifically media relations, internal communications and advertising and brand to ensure that work is in sync and collaborative.
  • Develop social media sites as needed and support that with appropriate staff within corporate and the business units. Work with other functional teams at the corporate level to develop social media sites. Ensure that brand ambassadors participate in online conversations as deemed necessary
