Virtual Events Marketing Communications Intern Job

We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Virtual Events Marketing Communications Intern.

Job Responsibilities
The Virtual Events Marketing Communications Intern will participate as an active member of the Corporate Communications Team to support CUNA Mutual’s largest customer event: the “Online Discovery Conference.” This annual event is designed for credit union industry professionals and combines webcasts and an expo center with multiple networking opportunities. Responsibilities include organizing and facilitating projects, writing for internal and external audiences, website maintenance, creation of advertising and promotional materials and various other duties to support Discovery.
This individual will gain exposure to virtual event planning and execution, audio/visual production, communication distribution, media relations, advertising, Web publishing, and working with cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements
Successful candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and capabilities:

•  Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.Excellent organizational and communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation.
•  Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency with MS Office applications and the Internet.
•  Experience with Internet development/application tools; experience with Intranet    development/applications preferred.
•  Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and motivated in managing priorities and implementing a plan.
