Electronic Communications Intern

Divine Savior Healthcare in Portage is seeking an Electronic Communications Intern for a paid position during spring semester 2012. Duties will include the creation and monitoring of electronic communications (including social media, website and search engines) for the healthcare system in accordance with the marketing plan and under the supervision of the Communications Specialist. In addition this candidate will be creating and posting unique content on a regular basis for the organization’s website, planning an creating video content for the website and YouTube site, planning and executing a social media campaign on Facebook to increase following and using techniques to optimize the organization on search engines.

Qualified candidates will be current undergraduates enrolled in a public relations, journalism, communications, marketing or related program. He/she will also have outstanding writing skills and excellent computer skills in a variety of software; including Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing programs. Proven experience with social media, video production, online communications, and website content management programs necessary. An interest in health care is a plus.

This position requires someone who is a self-starter and is looking to build their portfolio with real on-the-job experience. There is flexibility to take on and coordinate projects based on interest as well. The position pays $13 per hour.
