Photojournalist


Employer:  Journal Broadcast Group, WTMJ-4 Milwaukee
Job Type:  Full-time
Education:  
College degree in related field preferred; Journalism background preferred.
Skills:  
Ability to operate electronic news gathering equipment for the shooting and editing of television news videotape; must have strong journalistic judgment to support role as a photojournalist and field producer.
Experience:  
Minimum 2–4 years of photojournalist experience preferred; knowledge of non-linear editing; Bit Central/Edius experience a plus; P2 camera experience a plus; prior experience running live microwave truck a plus.
Duties:  
Will operate electronic news gathering equipment in the coverage of a wide variety of news stories for use in television newscasts; run live microwave truck; screen and log news and sports videotape; must be able to work well with reporters and independently in the newsgathering process; must be capable of field producing recorded live and taped news events; editing experience preferred; must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds; must be available to work weekends, nights and various shifts.
