Responsibilities
The Communications Coordinator/Editorial Assistant will aid Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei LAB) researchers in generating quality education-related social and traditional media content germane to the lab’s mission and scope. The candidate will enhance, maintain, and promote the Wei LAB’s mission and professional presence via press releases, e-mail blasts, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media outlets. The Communications Coordinator/Editorial Assistant will assist with updating, maintaining, and enhancing the Wei LAB website presence as necessary, to ensure a quality and professional end-user experience. The chosen candidate will help document the work of the Wei LAB, its affiliates, and its researchers through a variety of multimedia outlets, including, but not limited to, short YouTube videos, articles, and other avenues as appropriate.

Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei LAB) within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) is dedicated to conducting both basic and applied research on topics of equity and inclusion in education, with a particular focus on higher education. Broadly constructed, the lab operationalizes equity and inclusion as efforts taken by organizations to ensure educational success for all of its constituents. The mission of Wisconsin’s Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei LAB) is to design, conduct, and disseminate research that informs policymakers, practitioners, and concerned citizens on how to best promote equitable and inclusive learning and work environments in education in general, and higher education in particular.

Digital Intern


As our interactive agency intern, you’ll get hands-on experience working on multiple facets of digital media. You’ll work alongside our team members while gaining valuable knowledge. If you’re looking for a crash course in digital agency life, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do
Throughout your internship, you will be exposed to a growing roster of high-end clients; primarily assisting the interactive team with their day-to-day operations. Marketing Assistant Internship


Proud Theater is an award-winning, exciting and innovative youth theater program whose mission is “to change the world through the power of theater and the theater arts, and to make a positive difference in the lives of LGBTQ and allied youth through the tenets of art, heart, and activism.”
There are currently three branches of Proud Theater: Madison, Milwaukee, and Wausau. We are looking for an intern to put together an effective marketing strategy for us to help advertise and promote Proud Theater within the community. This may range from writing and organizing dispersal of e-newsletters, basic PR, to advertising fundraising events and upcoming performances, etc.
An ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, passionate, and dedicated to the core beliefs of Proud Theater. Experience with other lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning organizations and/or theater experience is preferred, but not necessary.
This is an unpaid, volunteer position for a non-profit. The start date is as soon as the candidate would like. The end date is either through the end of the summer, or as long as the candidate would like to fill the position.
If academic credit is desired, we will work with the candidate to design a schedule that will fulfill the University’s requirements.

Haworth Marketing + Media Internship

GolinHarris Summer Internship

The special event intern assists in planning four major events throughout the summer. The largest of these is Zoo Ball.  For this event, the intern will assist in a variety of tasks including auction preparation and organization, registration and helping with set-up and take-down. The intern will help organize an auction for our annual golf outing, enter data for registrants for our overnight camping event, and work to solicit new corporations to form teams for our bike ride. The intern is expected to work at all four of the events. The intern will also assist our Publications Department to manage the photo database, and other duties as assigned.

Overview:
The Communications Intern provides additional copywriting and research support to the Marketing department. This position assists with UW Credit Union marketing and communication projects including writing internal and external communications, providing social media support and implementing promotional campaigns.
