Position Description & Requirements: Full-time (and part-time) internships are available in the editorial department of MSP Communications, which publishes Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and several custom publications. The position involves fact-checking, editorial research, writing, and photo sourcing. Interns finesse reporting/editing skills and get an inside look at the workings of a monthly publication. The paid internship ($7.25/hour) runs from January-June 2013. Interns work Monday-Friday in our downtown Minneapolis office. Candidate must be pursuing or have graduated with an English/journalism/communications major or have related experience. Eagerness, willingness to learn, and interest in magazines a must; experience at a student publication is helpful.

Copywriting Intern; CloudTactix

Your primary duties will include ghostwriting blog posts for clients; writing posts for our own blog; drafting copy for case studies, eBooks, and white papers; and potentially writing ad copy and/or working with social media down the road.
You MUST be an independent worker who consistently meets deadlines.  You MUST demonstrate extreme attention to detail and hold yourself and your work to high standards.
Pay is hourly and begins at $10/hour. Hours are extremely flexible, but you must be able to come into the office at least once a week.

Job Summary: The PR Intern assists VOM FASS USA & Crescendo USA in public relations to increase visibility of the franchise program to multiple media outlets and trade associations. The public relations intern will report to the Director of Franchise Development. The goal is to instill the basic techniques of public relations. In addition, the Intern will develop compelling story lines and creative copy to insure that articles are published and generate interest in the franchise opportunities. Duties might include any of the following responsibilities, as well as other unlisted duties.
Public Relations Responsibilities: Assist with developing, writing and distributing approved press releases. Assist with media relations, including pitching, researching and scheduling interviews if needed. Assist with organization of store and corporate special events. Assist with building and maintaining relationships with both local and national media. Assist with building and maintaining press kits. Assist with posting approves logos, blog posts, images, and organizational summaries to industry related web sites, social media outlets and publications. Follow-up with members of the media to track and ensure placement. Assist with proofing written materials for style, grammar, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with others. Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously. Ability to generate, share and follow through on a creative idea. Ability to work independently and manage projects to completion. Must be creative and a self starter.
