WGN-TV Creative Services Writing Internship

Responsibilities: WGN-TV Creative Services is looking for a hard working, dedicated individual who wants to gain valuable experience in the television industry. Creative Services produces on-air, radio & print spots to promote WGN-TV in Chicago and WGN America (cable) across the country.

Ideal candidate possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, has the ability to multi-task, works well under pressure and takes initiative. Creative thinkers are essential. Responsibilities include writing on-air voice-over copy, maintaining organized databases and files, dubbing tapes, logging tapes, and helping producers with day-to-day needs.

Undergraduate (junior/senior standing) or graduate students attending an accredited college or university majoring in Broadcasting/Communications/Journalism or related field of study. Students must be able to obtain college credit for the internship experience (Internships are unpaid).

DURATION/HOURS: Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week during a 13-18 week period.

FALL (September – December) WINTER/SPRING (January – April) SUMMER (May – August)
