Employer: The Fit

The Fit is a locally owned and operated fitness studio specializing in unique, small group training.  The Fit is in its ground stages and has relied on word of mouth for marketing until this point.  The Fit has a presence on social media including Facebook and Twitter.

The marketing and social media intern will be responsible for the following:

• Develop marketing and branding strategies
• Manage the website and social media
• Design, production, and distribution of promotional materials
• Plan community outreach events
• Seek sponsorships for promotions if needed

The candidate chosen for this position must possess the following attributes:

• Reliable

The Fit is located on Monroe Street near the UW and Edgewood.  Clients come primarily from the immediate neighborhoods.  The products offered are such that others from outside of these neighborhoods would travel for them.  The person chosen for this position has an opportunity to observe the direct impact their efforts have on the position of the business.

This position requires 10 hours or less each week.  Guidance will be given as to what is needed and the intern will be able to grow beyond baseline as desired.
