Graphic Design Intern, Development; Madison Children's Museum

Title: Graphic Design Intern, Development Compensation: Unpaid Hours: 10-15 per week, split among Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Madison Children's Museum is unique among family resources in Dane County. The museum fosters family and community connections, and provides a place where every child can learn through play in a hands-on, interactive environment. Our Development Department is looking for an enthusiastic Graphic Design Intern for the spring semester of 2011. Gain valuable experience designing marketing materials and maintaining our Web site while helping to boost the profile of a well-respected nonprofit organization. Duties of the position would include: ■ Assisting our graphic designer with day-to-day projects ■ Designing marketing materials, such as brochures and flyers, for special events ■ Helping to update and maintain website ■ Ensuring that all materials follow the organization’s graphic standards Job qualifications: Applicants enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in graphic design. Applicant should have excellent organization and time management skills. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a must. Owning a personal laptop that could be used for design is a plus, since the museum has a limited number of computers available. Hours are flexible, but occasional evening work may be required.
