The ABIS Group (www.theabisgroup.com) is seeking entry-level assistant industry news brief editors (for an early morning start shift). Assistant editors will research, write and edit headlines and abstracts for a collection of daily newsletters under deadline. Our growing editorial team is a smart, diverse, highly talented group with a broad range of experiences and backgrounds. We place a high value on teamwork, initiative, thinking "outside the box," intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to make a difference. The work environment is fast paced and stimulating. We're looking for strong writers and editors who can quickly identify the "gist" of a breaking news story and summarize it in a clean, concise fashion. Candidates should have an excellent academic record; a strong interest in health care, health science or business; a sharp eye for detail; a good sense of relevance; and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Coursework or work experience in health care, health sciences or business is a plus but not required. Work or internship experience as a journalist, copywriter or editor is also a plus.
