InternshipThe Wisconsin Alumni Association® (WAA) is seeking three to four Marketing and Promotions Interns beginning the week of June 4, 2012 and ending in December 2012, with the possibility to continue through the spring 2013 semester. Interns will be contributing to The Red Shirt campaign which engages alumni, students, friends, fans and the greater UW community. Responsibilities include implementation of marketing plan tactics, evaluation of campaign objectives and marketing plan development based on knowledge and experience gained during internship. This internship offers a real world, hands-on experience for those looking for skills in marketing, communications and consumer advocacy. Additional opportunities include involvement with social media initiatives and basic training on a web content management system. This position will report directly to WAA’s Marketing Manager.
The Red Shirt is a Wisconsin Alumni Association program developed to generate excitement and goodwill among Badgers everywhere by reinforcing the notion that giving back to the UW community can, and should be, fun. The program consists of a one-of-a-kind, collectible Badger T-shirt sold to help fund student scholarships with all proceeds going to UW-Madison’s Great People Scholarship.
