On Tuesday, April 9th Vince Camuto launched their third Spring contest, Fashion Forecast. The contest offers entrants nationwide the opportunity to win $1,000 to vincecamuto.com.
- Fashion Forecast will run as follows:

2013 Fall Internships with Madison Parks!
The City of Madison Parks Division manages 260 parks and over 6000 acres of land and includes various departments including: recreation services, maintenance, four golf courses, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Warner Park Community Recreation Center, Goodman Pool, facilities, conservation, forestry, cemetery, planning, and administrative staff.
The Parks Division is currently recruiting 2013 fall semester interns in various departments.
Special Events Intern: The intern will assist in planning and coordination of various special events and programs.
Volunteer Management Intern: The intern will assist with developing a comprehensive Parks volunteer program including recruitment, coordinating volunteer days, and gain overall understanding of volunteer management.
Marketing/Graphic Design Intern: Assisting with development of media and marketing plans of the Madison Parks Division including designing logos, brochures, and promotional material.
Communications Intern: This intern will assist with drafting press releases, writing web content, researching and writing articles.
It is the philosophy of the Parks Division that the department and the student develop a partnership where staff share their education and experience so as to provide a valuable learning experience for the intern. In exchange, the intern enhances the department's programs by providing new ideas and suggestions. Together, staff and interns work toward the department's vision to enrich lives through quality parks and programs.
This internship can run 6-12 weeks during the semester. Intern hours can range from 10-35 hours per week, but the internship may not exceed a total of 240 total hours for the whole internship. Interns will be compensated at a rate of $500/per 80 hours work or per credit earned. The duration of the internship can be determined with the intern. Hours are flexible, but most will occur between 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, although some weekend and evening hours will be required.
All applicants must fill out an online application and email a resume by the April 17, deadline to khopfensperger@cityofmadison.com to be considered for a fall internship.

The Council of Public
Relations Firms, the U.S. trade organization representing America's leading
public relations firms, is offering college students the unique opportunity to
demonstrate their creativity to PR firm leaders across the country in the "Take Flight with PR" video contest...and
one lucky winner will walk away with a potential career-launching prize.
Between now and June 28,
2013, we will be searching for the video that most persuasively and creatively
responds to the following prompt:
"A career in PR is
an opportunity for me to __________."
Contestants will choose
an interest, idea or passion they have, showing in their videos how a career in
public relations would enable them to bring their dream to life. The contest is
aimed at showcasing the multitude of careers possible at public relations
firms, including career paths in brand marketing, public advocacy, video
production, design, and more.
Submissions will be
judged based on creativity, storytelling and meaningfulness in relation to the
contest prompt.
The contest will run from
April 2, 2013 - June 28, 2013. Crowd sourced voting on the contest platform,

Internship Opportunities
The UW Athletic Department is currently accepting applicants for student internships in the Athletic Marketing Office. These intensive internships will provide hands on experience in Division I college athletics. Those who have a desire to work in sports marketing and a passion for athletics are encouraged to apply. The internships begin in August 2013 and conclude in May 2014.
Athletic Marketing Intern
The Athletic Marketing Intern will assist the UW Athletic Marketing staff with the following duties:
- Assist in the development and execution of promotions to foster ticket sales
- Assist in the preparation, set-up, and execution of game promotions (pre-game giveaways, in-game contests, and special introductions/ceremonies)
- Manage interactive kids’ area
- Event support for special non-game day functions (autograph sessions, kids’ clinics, and kids’ events)
- Other event and office duties as assigned
In total, the position requires 10-20 hours per week. Selected weeks require more. In addition to office hours (approx. 6 hours per week), the candidate must be willing to work irregular event hours including nights and weekends. The candidate must have demonstrated creative and customer relations skills in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. Additionally, the candidate must be hardworking, reliable, outgoing, and interact well with people of all ages.
These internships are paid positions and may also be available for coursework credit (consult with your academic advisor).
