Creative Communications Internship!

UW-Extension Conference Centers (ECC) is looking for an intern to work 10 hours a week! The schedule is flexible, but will require some business hours Monday-Thursday.

We are seeking a sharp, energetic and reliable student who is able to work collaboratively and independently. The Creative Communications Intern will work closely with the Marketing Director to prepare materials for print, email and our website. Under the direction of ECC's Marketing Director, the intern will be the social media manager.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of a small, hands-on team! You will work closely on ECC's core marketing and communications initiatives, learn a variety of marketing techniques and develop a diverse portfolio. Moreover, we would like to hire someone interested in a longer term internship, so you will be able to grow, learn and take on a variety of projects.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications or journalism are preferred
  • interest in marketing

  • Hands-on experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Proficiency in HTML
  • Basic knowledge of photography principles

The Work
  • Design through production of creative content for print and web
  • Produce ads, postcards, event materials, etc. and prepare them on the web
  • Create and publish content online and in print
  • Contribute to ECC social media accounts regularly and strategically
  • Research social media best practices and suggest changes to the strategy
  • Use analytics to evaluate social media campaigns to identify and reach ECC's audience

PR & Social Media Intern - Summer 2016

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Account Executives, Account Managers and Account Coordinators as required in completing assigned client projects. Specific duties will vary, but may include news release writing, developing and executing social media content, media list development, research and report writing.
  • Provide clerical support between major PR assignments. As the main company asset is information, the maintenance of error-free, up-to-the-minute information is a critical success factor of the business.
  • Assist with assorted company projects, which may include news releases, media kits, invitations, product updates, pre and post-conference mailings, blog posts and holiday greetings.
  • Display a high level of integrity by maintaining the confidence of proprietary information. Protect all tangible and intangible company assets including proprietary software and databases
Required Skills
  • Intermediate class work in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to foster teamwork and thrive in a collaborative environment

Learn Advertising in New York!

FCB Health is looking for interns for Summer 2016.

The Internship Program is designed to offer college students the opportunity to learn about a career in advertising. Interns will work in real-world business situations, attend seminars on the different aspects of the industry and work in intern teams on a campaign competition.

The program will be 9 weeks, beginning on Monday, June 6 until Friday, August 5.
It is a FULL-TIME, PAID internship.
Every intern will be assigned to a specific department and will work on designated accounts.

Qualifications

  • currently enrolled as junior or senior in an accredited college or university and in good standing (or) recent graduate, December 2015 or later

Marketing and Events with Gilda's Club Madison

Gilda's Club Madison is offering a part-time internship in Middleton, Wisconsin!

GCM is seeking an early 2016, or year-long intern (starting January 2016) to work with event/development staff on several major fundraising events. This opportunity will teach you about the various aspects of fundraising event planning, donor cultivation and the administrative side of a nonprofit. This is an unpaid internship.

You will:

  • gain understanding of Gilda's Club Madison's mission and its community connections along with basic knowledge of cancer care in the Madison area
